This is the last post

For the past two years, I’ve toyed with the idea of closing shop on this blog. At the beginning of 2020, I was excited to see where blogging was going to take me. I was excited to share new categories and ideas, and to be honest, the excitement was not there throughout the year as I wanted it to be. I struggled to keep this blog going at times, so I had to take a break to decide what the next step was going to be.

Due to my lack of excitement to blog here anymore, I’ve decided to close this blog. This is going to be the very last post that I write for La Petite Muse. I want to take this opportunity to thank you, the readers, for coming on this journey with me. It was a blessing to be a part of this community for 5 years, but I feel as if it’s time to let this blog go.

Relaunch: The next phase!

After coming to terms with parting with this blog, I was led to open another blog under the same name, but this time with the proper domain address.

Salut mesdames et messieurs!

I’ve come to the decision to take a hiatus of sorts from WP until next year God’s willing. It’s not that I’m uninspired or have run out of ideas, but I have a lot of things going for me right now in terms of the creative process, online classes, health, and just life in general. I’ve decided to step back a bit to access the various situations and see how best to proceed.

However, I still have to log in to post my daily gratitude blog, so if time permits, I’ll read a blog or two – I tend to read the first 8-10 that pops up in the Reader. I already have a few posts scheduled, and I’m currently in the process of revamping the blog once again by getting rid of certain categories and color coding certain posts. 

Before I can throw myself into the thick of things, I’m going to take my jacket off…

…and just relax for a bit. I’m going to miss you, but I’ve been inactive lately, so I need to do this for myself. I hope we reconcile soon. May God’s peace be with you.

Adventures of the invisible ‘like’ button

Salut mesdames et messieurs!

It has come to my attention that the ‘Like’ button on this blog after a post is somewhat invisible to some readers, and they assumed that I disabled the button for certain posts. To set the record straight, I did no such thing. I don’t know if this is a glitch of some sort from WP, but I haven’t been able to leave likes on certain posts unless I open up the blog in Reader, which I now prefer to use when it comes to catching up with my blogging family.

For some reason, the invisible like button reminded me of walking by faith and not by sight. I did not set out to become any top blogger, so the invisibility doesn’t bother me at all. I’m sorry that the button is invisible to some of you, and I hope this issue resolves soon. With WP, if it’s not one thing, it’s another.

Bible Studies to resume soon

Salut mesdames et messieurs!

I greet you from the comfort of my bed and I trust that all is well. This note is to address the Bible study and perhaps, a few other matters. If you’ve been reading my other blog, I’ve addressed the bout of recent headaches I’ve been experiencing and the severity of it. Sometimes, I’m up to two or three headaches a day, and each one can last up to 3 hours.

Most of the time, I pray and sleep through them for I’ve decided to forgo medication as I’ve been over dependent on them in the years gone by. This is the reason why I haven’t been able to comply the study notes for Exodus as my concentration is not strong at the moment. It’s also why I haven’t been reading your blogs and I hope to rectify this soon. The reason why you’re seeing posts on the blog is simple: they were scheduled beforehand, so thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read and leave comments. I’ll get to them in a timing.

Thank you for understanding and I trust that you’re having a great weekend wherever in the world you might be. Include God in your plans and let Him direct you.

As for me, I’m going to get rest and I should be back to business soon for this too, shall pass.

Hello, and welcome to another…

April has been a fantastic month! I cannot complain. I’ve been reevaluating all areas of my life and spending more time in nature. I didn’t read as much as I would’ve liked to, but nevertheless, I managed to read a few books.

Anyways, these are the short-term blogging goals I had for this month:

* I actually read 6 classics including “Around the World in 80 Days”. I did not get to read as much as I would’ve liked, but I read a total of 13 books this month for a total of 64 books so far this year. 

* Unfortunately, I’m yet to lay the groundwork for Exodus and it’s quite irritating given the time I’ve had. I keep veering off track, but I’ll try to resume Bible studies soon. 

* Done! A lot more work to be done, but it’s good to get a head start on things. 

This GIF is a mood! I think it’s going to be a new fave!

* Done! Book reviews are becoming a task, so I’ll be attempting to write shorter ones in the near future. 

* This was also done. I’m still getting around the new theme, but it’s the one that the Lord led me to, so I’m grateful to have this new theme. The header is a peacock and the background (if you can see it) features dragonflies, two creatures that I currently adore.

* I actually wanted to start the kitchen adventures category, but I ended up with a totally new one: Coffee Shots in which I’ll upload short thoughts, poems, or stories that are coffee-related.

* I did not find the time to do this although I do have one in mind, so I’ll try to look at it soon.

* Actually, I started writing a review for a TV show but abandoned it midway. It’s sitting nicely in drafts.

Although I did not get everything accomplished, I was delighted with all that was done. I pray that you’re doing well by God’s grace and that your May will be spiritually blessed.

Hello, and welcome to another…

This is where I talk bloggy stuff. Give little updates, etc. Today, we’ve come to the end of a wonderful start to 2020 both in the virtual world and in the land of the living. This month, I debuted a new sign-off signature for LPM and have actually gone on to create a few others which would make their debut in the Lord’s timing. I also started using a planner and…

…I did not stick to it. Yep, your girl started off using it just fine, then revert back to the sheer randomness when it comes to posting. So, instead, I listed a few short-termed goals that I wanted to achieve this month. Et voila!:

* I did not know how my reading was going to start off this year, so I listed 5 books to read. I ended up reading 17 books, just 2 more than Jan 2019! I get to cross about 8 books off my TBR for the others weren’t on it.

* I plan to restudy Exodus soon. This month, I did not get the time to start for I was working on a Genesis recap.

* This was accomplished: Gratitude is an Attitude. It’s where I write thank you entries on a daily basis. I’m currently looking into another writing format, but so far, I am happy with the way the entries are coming along and I thank God for it.

* I believe I’ve found it! In the right time, I’ll make the change if it’s to be.

* Happy that this was accomplished for I don’t blog for an entire week anymore. I hope to do this once a month for the rest of the year.

* Although this one is crossed off, I did manage to introduce a new category: Heart Reflections. I did not realize it until I was going back through the entries that I posted for this month. Originally, I had plans to introduce Adventures in the Kitchen, but all things work for good.

* I got the majority completed so bless God! 💙

* Accomplished! It’ll be introduced within the new theme if all goes according to plan.

In February, I want to direct my attention to reviews for books, TV shows, and movie trailers if there’s time to do so. Who knows? Maybe I’ll dedicate a week to do so.

Hello WP fam! I trust that you’re getting ready for 2020 and I pray that it’ll be a blessing for you. I am currently working on a new blog and it’s quite a work in progress as it is with opening a new blog. Coming up with the name this time around was easy for the blog is going to be base on thankfulness, so I ended up naming it Gratitude is an Attitude.

Yvette over on priorhouse.blog took the time to remind me of a recurring problem with my blog: the link was not showing up for a while now – since last month or so – and I paid no real attention to it. Silly me! Yesterday, she reminded me yet again that although my comment was showing up, the link back to my blog was still not working which resulted in the blog not showing up in her Reader.

So, it was time to get down to fix the persisting problem.

At first, I Googled the possible reason behind the problem and I was told it was Gravatar and perhaps the image was poorly rated or something like that. Anyway, to make a long story short, after going around in circles, I eventually consulted the Director of this blog (God) and the Holy Spirit guided me, showing me that the problem was STARING me in the eye all along.

And just like that, the problem was fixed and the link back to the blog was working; thank You, God! I should have consulted God first. Despite yesterday being hectic, I have no excuse as to why I didn’t speak to God first. Had I done so, I wouldn’t have run around in circles for two hours or so!

And thank you, Yvette, for reminding me of the problem for you encouraged me to resolve this issue once and for all.
