June 27th: The artist’s eye

Is there a painting or sculpture you’re drawn to? What does it say to you? Describe the experience. (Or, if art doesn’t speak to you, tell us why.)

I love paintings, but they don’t speak to me. I don’t have that special language down pat. However, I am drawn to Charles Auguste Émile Durand’s L’Homme endormi or Man Asleep or The Sleeping Man. I’ve now used this masterpiece as an inspiration for one of my short stories.

June 25th: 21st-century citizen

Do you belong in this day and age? Do you feel comfortable being a citizen of the 21st-century? If you do, explain why — and if you don’t, when in human history would you rather be?

Although I do consider myself an old soul and I’d rather be stuck in Ancient Egypt, or when Jesus Christ first walked the earth, I am content in this century because this is where God wants me to be.

June 23rd: Island of misfit posts

We all have something we’d like to write about, but that doesn’t really “fit” our blog. Write it anyway.

Hmm… isn’t that right? My blog revolves around my spiritual walk with God, the books that I read, writing, the movies that I watch, a little bit of fashion & style, and humanity. If there is anything else that I’ll like to rant about even if it doesn’t fit, I’ll write it.

June 22nd: No, thank you

If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?

Here’s a thought: Words are powerful and they can build you up, but when a word is used as a weapon to belittle, insult, and hurt someone, then that word should be banned. Does this make any sense at all? I mean, I would’ve banned the word ‘No’ to give more opportunities to ‘Yes’, but there comes a time when we need to say ‘No’. I’ll like for all curse words to be banned for at the end of the day, it takes away from a good movie, a good read and it ruins your character.

June 20th-21st: daily prompts catch up

As I write this, I am half asleep. Well, I am awake, my eyes are open, but I am somewhat asleep. Whatever that is called. And when I’m half asleep, I refer to my writing as ‘drunk’ writing. Anyways, let’s do this.

June 20th: Moment of kindness

Describe a moment of kindness, between you and someone else — loved one or complete stranger.

My favorite moments of kindness are the ones where strangers intervene to help others during/after a senseless attack. I’ve been reading a lot of these things lately because some people just don’t know how to behave.

June 21st: Hahaha

Tell us a joke! Knock-knock joke, long story with an unexpected punchline, great zinger — all jokes are welcome!

I need a bed right now! >.< But feel free to check out these lovely knock knock jokes for kids. 🙂
