Devotional Nugget #7: Please no man!

“The art of pleasing is the art of deceiving.”

French Proverb

Trying to please people can lead to anxiety pangs that forces you to think that you’re not good enough. Don’t ever try to live for the acceptance of others for your heavenly Father has already accepted you (Ephesians 1:3-6). God created us for His glory, not for our own or others, but for His. Reflection

In EVERY situation, learn to trust the Lord. Strive to do your best and let God do the rest. Let us now say with Peter, “We must obey God rather than men.” (Acts 5:29).

As for me, I live to please God, to walk in His ways daily and since it’s my goal to walk in His ways, I don’t worry about whether people like me or not, for I did not come here to be liked.
