Day 7: What were your favorite childhood toys?

It certainly wasn’t a barbie doll! I can’t describe it right now, but it was a dog that squeezed.

Daily prompt catch-up: 9th-11th

December 09th: Out of reach

Was there a toy or thing you always wanted as a child, during the holidays or on your birthday, but never received? Tell us about it

Whoa! Jogging my memory to a time I left behind is taxing. Maybe there was such a toy I had wanted back then, maybe there wasn’t, but I was not big on toys, so I can’t remember at the moment.

December 10th: Unexpected

Unexpectedly, you lose your job. (Or a loved one. Or something or someone important to you.) What do you do next?

Just last week my colleagues were discussing this! And I remember saying that if I were to lose my job unexpectedly, I wouldn’t even cry over it; I’ll just get on my knees and go to God in prayer.

December 11th: My precious

Who is the person in your life who can do no wrong? Describe this person and tell us why you hold them in such high esteem.

There is no such person in my life who can do no wrong for we’ve all sinned at some point in our life. The only person I hold in such high esteem is Jesus Christ.

September 12th: Toy story

What was your favorite plaything as a child? Do you see any connection between your life now, and your favorite childhood toy?

Well, my favorite plaything is now my mascot… somewhat. One day, my sister put it in my working handbag as a prank, but it backfired on her because my colleagues fell in love with the orange tiger thing that has a small black heart on the side of its mouth (right side).

He even got a small photo shoot out of it:

And here he is in a tree during a fire drill exercise:

I was told that I should probably open a fun Instagram account for it, but I don’t have the time for that. And that’s my toy story adventure with Ricky the Tiger. Don’t judge me. I had a wild imagination when I was little. I am actually surprised that this toy actually lasted long, though. Tammy can testify to this fun experience. Hahaha!

May 15th: Memories for sale

On a weekend road trip, far away from home, you stumble upon a garage sale in a neighborhood you’re passing through. Astonished, you find an object among the belongings for sale that you recognize. Tell us about it.

A small stuffed brown bunny with a loose pink nose. It was given to be by my little sister and I’ve cherished it ever since (and I don’t like stuff toys!).
