The first thing about these birds that caught my eye was their beautifully unique tails. Yup. Proceed and see for yourself.

🐦 The Quetzal is the national bird of Guatemala; its vibrant colors represent the Guatemalan people.

Marvellous Spatuletail - Loddigesia Mirabilis - by Ian Merrill. A peruvian endemic, this species is found on forest edges in the Rio Utcubamba region, northen Perù. Due to ongoing habitat loss, small population size and limited range is evaluated as endangered.

🐦 The Marvellous Spatuletail Hummingbird is found only in a small area of Peru for it’s endangered. It is one of the world’s rarest hummingbirds.

🐦 Lady Amherst’s Pheasant is found in SW China and Myanmar. Like most Phasianidae species (inclusive of pheasant and peafowls), the LAP prefers to escape danger by running rather than flying.
