Teaser Tuesday: Upcoming themes and series

Teaser Tuesday:

I have so many posts to share that if I were to share them all, I’ll be posting at least ten items a day! However, I want to share what you may see in the near future on La Petit Muse.

SERIES

Yes, this is our world. Under this category, I’ll be focusing on global news and prophesy, humanity, Christianity, and how they’re shaping the world and readying for the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the one and only King of Kings. I’ve already kicked this category off last week with the independence of Catalonia.

Bible Study. I actually have a category already, but it needs to be updated regularly. While I was rereading Genesis a while back, I decided to put my notes on here about each book that I read.

Midweek Mystery. I am a HUGE fan of mysteries and I’ll certainly love to share some here! MM would be updated once or twice a month if I proceed with it.

Fairytale Friday: This idea popped into my head while I was helping a friend do research for a thesis based on Alice in Wonderland. I am not sure if I’ll actually proceed with this as yet, but if I do, I’ll be comparing the original with the remake.

Pretty Cool Fact!: Sharing a random fact once a week. 🙂

THEMES & CHALLENGES

I actually have many challenges that I’ll love to participate in, but time won’t allow me. Most – if not all- are found on Pinterest. I actually pinned 167 pins. Here is one:

As for the themes, I am yet to complete the Social Media one, something I hope that I can get back to soon. I have a few that I am excited to start on, but I’ve put them on the backburner for a bit.

And that’s it for now.

Teaser Tuesday: NaNo ready?

Teaser Tuesday:

Image result for gif hello everyone

I trust that your day was spent well and that you’ve accomplished all that you’ve set out to do.

Earlier this month, I talked about participating in NaNoWriMo this year and I was yet to make up my mind. Well, I did make it up recently. My friend is also participating and he is excited about doing it for the first time, so we’re embarking on a writing adventure from November 01st God’s willing. Yes, I am officially a participant of NaNoWriMo 2017.

But there’s a slight problem: I don’t know what to write about. 😦

I have so many stories that I want to bring alive, but I’ve narrowed it down to two:

Dangerous Obsession: Two students take their obsession over a college professor too far when they kidnap him. (I know, I know, it’s cliché, but I’ve always wanted to write a  cliché story.)

Destiny: He is deaf, but it doesn’t stop his family from arranging a marriage for him. However, he does not want to get married to the chosen girl and turns to his neighbor for help in getting his family off his back. (This is not the actual title, but it works for now. Again, cliché, but I am feeling cliché this time around.)

Even this post isn’t NaNo ready, but let’s do this!

Teaser Tuesday: Wattpad covers!

Working on my Wattpad covers was a creative process because I enjoyed choosing the fonts and colors. 🙂

Teaser Tuesday:

First, I’ll like to thank you wonderful readers for your awesome feedback that you’ve left me regarding my signature last week. I had decided on a banner-like signature after reading all of your feedback and came up with something simpler that same evening. You might have seen it around recently if not, it’ll be at the very end of this post. A huge thank you!

Now down to business.

I have not been as active as I would’ve liked on Wattpad. I do like the community and I’ve met some interesting people there, but I am yet to immerse myself in the atmosphere. I’ve posted a few stories and the response was good thus far for I still consider myself new. I got busy making and remaking covers earlier today and here are the results:

Voir Doir

This was written for a competition and it happens to be my first Wattpad short story. It currently has 31 views and 3 likes and it has been added to a reader’s Legal list. 🙂

My Chosen

This got me back into the fanfiction swing! It’s been years since I’ve written a fan fic, but I couldn’t pass the opportunity up to write this short story after watching Tom Cruise in The Mummy. It currently has 72 views, 3 likes and it has also been added to a reader’s Setapai (my current story title) list. 🙂

Writing Prompts

I have to admit that I hardly update this one. It has 119 views and 8 likes and it has been added to a reader’s Writing list. 🙂

My Book Reviews

I’ve been posting my book reviews here on WordPress and over on Wattpad. I had to update the cover earlier because many of the writers simply skip pass the introduction and ask for reviewing of their work. I don’t mind reviewing Wattpad books, but I simply don’t have the time to read as much as I used to so I prefer to stick to the books that I am trying to read off my shelf. This one happens to be my most popular offering so far despite only 1000 reads and 44 likes. It has also been added to two readers’ Book Review lists. 🙂

I have to thank my sister Denisia for helping me with the designs. Whenever I did a design, I’ll show it to her and she’ll vote yay or nay and tell me why it wasn’t working. Thank you, girl! ❤

That’s all for this week’s Teaser Tuesday. Give it a thumbs up if you like it and don’t… oh, wait, this isn’t YouTube! 😛 Comment down below if you like or dislike any of the designs. I value your thoughts and opinions because you guys help me grow and improve. Enjoy what’s left of your Tuesday!

Teaser Tuesday: The Barcelona Job

We’re already panicking about the new season and pressuring the board to buy proper players although the La Liga is yet to kick off. This season, it’s all about the football life.

Teaser Tuesday:

A week ago (or maybe it was two weeks ago? Not sure with the time flying by so fast), I announced my new writing project The Barcelona Job which I am currently writing during the 2017/18 football season. I must admit that I am nowhere near the 5th chapter as yet, but I’ll be getting there soon. I am currently trying to write the 3rd chapter.

It’s going to be an interesting season!

I am contemplating on sharing this story on Wattpad, but I am not sure if I’ll share it outside of my friends and family circle just yet.

Teaser Tuesday: The Barcelona Job

Teaser Tuesday:

My love for football is only growing despite our love-hate relationship. This 2017/18 season, I’ve decided to work on a story revolving around FC Barcelona which I’ll be working on at least twice a week. It’s also an excuse to practice my writing. ^^

There’s going to be talks of dribbles and tricks…

Record breaking milestones and silverware…

And of course, friendship and love…

Here’s what I’ve worked on thus far:

SUMMARY

I literally suck at writing summaries, plots, etc., because they tend to change as the story progresses and I have to go back and rewrite them, but I have something that I can see myself sticking with.

It’s a French revolution in Spain!

Marcus da Díxon is a young football coach who is given the monumental task of overseeing FC Barcelona for the 2017-18 season. The team is aiming to win every silverware available beginning with the International Champions Cup. When Marcus first takes charge of the team he makes it clear to the boys that he did not take up the position to lose and he won’t be tolerating bad conduct.

The boys soon learn that their new coach is very vocal and vows to try their best to avoid embarrassment in the press, but things don’t always go as planned when they discovered that their new boss dislikes everything that their rival Real Madrid stands for including their bald headed coach.

EXCERPT

The story is still in the early stage, so I don’t have many chapters as yet. This bit is taken from the first chapter that I am yet to edit so excuse grammatical errors and lame sentences. 🙂

The journalists couldn’t stop staring at the new FC Barcelona coach and his mirror identical assistant. They were around 5’11” with strong handsome features. Their eyes were bluer than the skies above and their hair so brown that it could almost pass for a shade of auburn. They couldn’t be told apart very easily and the journalists were afraid to address the wrong one so no one said anything for a little over a minute until Marcus sighs and broke the silence with a dry joke,

“Don’t be afraid to speak Catalan; I’m a polyglot and so is my other half.”

A few of the journalists chuckled.

“Welcome to Barcelona, Mr. da Díxon,” a blonde haired man decided to go bravely. “We’re still on the fence about you given that the club ditched tradition this time and went for someone who didn’t even play for the club to coach the team. What makes you so special?”

Marcus shrugs. “Aren’t you special too?”

COVER REVEAL

I am having fun working on covers for potential stories and this one is my favorite thus far…

Thank you for reading. 🙂

Teaser Tuesday: Cover wars!

Teaser Tuesday:

Good evening all. I hope that you’ve been having a blessed day. I still have to do some catching up where it concerns some of the blogs, so if I don’t get to yours anytime soon, I’ll certainly be doing so before the week is out.

In the past few days, I’ve been trying to come up with the perfect cover for my new story, Setepai. This story takes place in Ancient Egypt and modern London and yes, it was inspired by The Mummy (the Tom Cruise one). Had it not been for Sylvia of thatdiary this story wouldn’t have existed. So, this one is for you, girl. ❤

I’m still learning to use colors and what not, but these are the covers that I’ve come up with so far:

I like this one because it captures the Ancient Egyptian setting.

This one is actually my least favorite. Note the smudge. I thought it was creative
at first, but now, not so much.

This one kind of resembles the first one (& 2nd because of the top smudge),
but it’s not as dark as the first and you can see the words clearly.

My utmost favorite, but I still want to go with the first.

You might ask why do you fit in this. Well, you’re going to help me decide which cover do you think is best suited for the story. Let me know in the comments below. 🙂
