“Notre Dame is our history, it’s our literature, it’s our imagery. It’s the place where we live our greatest moments, from wars to pandemics to liberations… I’m telling you all tonight — we will rebuild this cathedral together. This is probably part of the French destiny.”
“This history is ours. It is burning. I say to you very solemnly tonight, this cathedral, we will rebuild it.”
French President Emmanuel Macron

As I watch the flames rip through the roof of the spire of the Cathedral of Notre Dame last evening, I shook my head at history going up in smoke. It was ugly and grotesque.
Paris does not mourn alone. The world stands with her at the dawn of this heartbreak, but this is not the time to be distracted for God is never limited to a building.
Amen Diana. The church is a phoenix!

“but this is not the time to be distracted for God is never limited to a building.” Praise God. I had no idea. Reading or watching the news are not on my approved lists π π The picture is stunning.

I started keeping up with the news lately for they’re key to end-time events. The picture is art. π

I was so relieved the damage wasn’t as bad as it could have been. The rose window was untouched, as was much of the lower church. For how sad this tragedy is, I’m grateful it wasn’t worse! Already France has raised billions of dollars to rebuild it.

I think it may be even lovelier when it’s rebuilt.

I know this message comes late, but the Notre Dame will always stand. I haven’t followed up on the building’s current state, but I will. Thanks Diana for making this post–I love what France’s president said.

At current, the state says that they want the building to restore as exactly as it was. I’m not sure if any actual work has started on it, though. And thank you for visiting. ππ
