Bible Study will resume next Sabbath be it God’s willing. It’s a joy reading, learning, discovering, and applying His Word for it’s like a soothing balm. π
Base on what we’ve studied so far in Genesis 1-9, I’ll leave a few questions for you to answer on your own, or feel free to discuss it in the comment section below.
1. What does the rainbow symbolize?
2. On what day is the Sabbath?
3. Does the Bible tell us EXACTLY how many children Adam and Eve had?
4. On what day was Eve created?
5. How old was Noah when he entered the ark?
6.Β How many pairs of each “clean” animal did Noah take on the ark?

I don’t know if I am right but I’d love to participate π The rainbow is the promise God wouldn’t destroy us again. The Sabbath is on the 7th day. I see it as Sunday but that doesn’t make me right. I believe the Bible mentions only 3 but it says many sons and daughters but I never understood if that meant Adam and Eve or meant they had Seth, and Seth had many. The man and woman were created on the same day π I believe it was the 5th or 6th day. I not sure but 600 or 700 years old when he went into the ark, and I have no idea about how many animals total π I might not have gotten it right but it was fun π

Thanks for participating, my dearest. Yes, the Sabbath is on the 7th day which is from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday. Apart from Abel, Cain, and Seth, the Bible does not specifically tell us how many offsprings Adam and Eve had (Gen 5:4). Yes, they were created on the 6th day. Genesis 1:27β31 tells us that man and woman were created on the 6th day before God rested on the 7th. Genesis 2:7β25 provides more details about the 6th day of Creation.
Noah was 600 years old when he entered the ark (Gen 7:6-7). Seven pairs of each “clean” animals were taken into the ark (Gen 7:2-3).

These questions are really good Diane.
1). The rainbow represents that God would never again destroy the world with a flood.
2). The Sabbath is on the 7th day. The day became sacred to the Jewish people because God “rested” that day from all that He created. It’s later referenced when God gave Moses the 10 Commandments.
3). No. It does however tell us that Adam and Eve has Cain, Abel, and then Seth. However, when it comes to the number of children Adam and Eve had; it doesn’t say becuase Genesis goes right into the story of Seth having his son Enosh.
4). Eve wasn’t created on a particular day. Eve was created from Adam’s rib.
5). Noah was 600 years old.
6). 2 of each pair of animal was permitted into the ark.

Ok so I’m answering in no particular order cuz I’m doing it from my phone and I’m feeling too lazy to scroll way back up so here goes….
It represents that God will not destroy the earth with water again.
I know about Cain & Abel, and Seth too.
I have no idea how old he was, but I knew he lived really long like up to 900 & something years!
The animals went in two by two lol
Sabbath is on the 7th day.
Adam was created on the 5th day and Eve somewhat on the seventh day? No but God rested from his work on that day hmm …oh boy this one tricky.
Did I leave out any? Lolol

Man & woman were both created on the sixth day (Gen. 1:27 & 5:1,2)
Adam lived 800 more years after Seth was born and had “other sons and daughters”. I would think they could have had quite a few in that amount of time, but it doesn’t say how many (Gen. 5:3,4). If you think about it, Cain and Abel were old enough to offer their own sacrifices when Cain killed his brother, & Abel was already dead when Seth was conceived. If they were approx. the same age and were around 25 years old when Cain killed Abel, Adam would have been over 100 years old when they were born. They could have had some daughters that were older than Cain and Abel.
Noah was 600 years old when he entered the ark, and he took 7 pairs of each clean animal. (Gen. 7:2,6)
