Bible Activity/Discussion

Bible Study: Discussion

Pleasant good day. Instead of the regular Bible Study of Genesis, I want to take the time to find out:

1. Which book of the Bible are you currently reading?

2. Your favorite book altogether?

3.ย How has the Bible been impacting your life?

You don’t have to answer all of the questions, but feel free to share anything that you like about God’s Word. Happy Sabbath!

  1. I’m reading 1 Kings, Isaiah, and Mark. I can’t pick a favourite. Every time I think, this book is my favorite, I start the next book, and think the same thing :):) I don’t know if I have the right words to describe it but the Lord teaches me something new with every verse. Even verses, though I’ve read them before, each time it’s as if with new eyes. Love the questions, wonderful idea :):) Happy Sabbath, I thank God for blessing you ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I’m still on Exodus and I still can’t find time to continue it as I’m taking notes every chapter. I don’t think I have a favourite book but if there will be, it will be Matthew– just because. โค God bless, Diana!

  3. Currently reading 1 Chronicles and the Gospel of John
Hard to pick 1 favorite so I’ll say Isaiah (OT) and Romans (NT)
The bible continues to impact me daily as long as I stay in the Word, allowing the Spirit to teach/remind me of things. My bottom line answer would be this: The more I learn about God through the Bible the more I realize how much more of Him I need!
    Blessings,

  4. I’m the type of person who jumps around in the Bible…so I’m not reading a particular book right now. Though, for some reason, I’ve always had a fondness for John. As for the last question, a better question would be how the Bible isn’t affecting my life. I see it affecting everything I do and think about.

  5. Thank you for posting these questions. Iโ€™m reading through the Bible right now. Currently Iโ€™m reading through 1 Chronicles.
I have graduate degrees in theology, but my favorite way to read the Bible is devotionally. I like to read about Godโ€™s interaction with the people in the past and to think about how that applies to the present.

    1. Lovely! 1 Chronicles is a book I love. Yes, reading devotionally can be quite beneficial. God bless and thank you for participating.

  6. 1. Been reading Mark a lot lately, which is usually my least go-to gospel. But good stuff obviously.

    2. So hard to choose one. But if I had to, maybe Colossians or 1 Peter.

    3. Trying to imprint Scripture on my mind and heart. Asking God to bring certain verses to my recollection just when I need them.

      2. Those are very good books. I just recently reread 1 Peter. ๐Ÿ˜„

      3. Same! I’ve been memorizing certain verses so I can focus on them when I need to.

God bless and thank you for participating.

I love Romans 13! Psalms is an impactful book, yes! I hope you find time to read regularly even if it’s just one verse. ๐Ÿ™‚ God bless and thank you for participating.

  8. I guess I’d have to say the Gospel of John is my favorite book because it is filled with the reality of the love of God for me and what it cost Him. My second is quickly becoming Revelation for is sums up the beginning and brings all things back to where they are supposed to be.

  9. Iโ€™m currently reading the book of Mark. My favorite books are the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). Bible reading enriches my life completely. It helps me to have the mindset of God everyday which helps in making decisions, helps me manage stress, and brings me peace and joy. I recently found this article that helped me to see how to get even more from my daily bible reading

    1. Iโ€™m just finishing up my yearly 90 bible reading (Feb-April); currently in James.

    2. Favourite book; Psalm (especially the 23rd), knew it by heart @ 12.

    3. The bible hasnโ€™t just impacted, its changed my life. The past 8 years Iโ€™ve made it a point to read through the entire bible.

    Thanks for the invite! #BeBlessed!

    1. Lovely! I am happy to hear this. ๐Ÿ˜„

I love Psalm 23! My all-time favorite Psalm is 91, though.

I can testify to that as well. I’ve read the Bible from cover to cover multiple times and I love discovering treasures I didn’t stumble upon before.

God bless and thank you for participating.

  11. Love following your studies on the bible! Right now I’m reading the book of Job, which I always find encouraging, but Proverbs is probably my favorite book in the bible so far (I’m slowing reading every book in the bible, so that could change)! I love Proverbs because it brings me back to the reality that without God, nothing in this world, nothing we do matters. So I find that encouraging because it reminds me of our purpose and what God always wanted us as humans to get out of our lives ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you, Crystal. I have to try my best to update regularly, though. Proverbs is one of my all-time favorite books! ๐Ÿ’™Like you said, it’s very encouraging and I love reading that book. God bless and thank you for participating.

  12. I’m reading 2 Chronicles, Psalms and Matthew. Proverbs is one of my favorite books, full of practical wisdom. On the Sabbath, there’s a helpful verse in Hebrews 4, can’t remember the exact reference… ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Love those books you mentioned especially Matthew and Proverbs! Maybe you’re referring to Hebrews 4:9-11 perhaps?
