Day 1: Your blog’s name

I wanted to include as many stickers as possible; I don’t know why and I know it’s somewhat childish, but I dig it! 🙂

Okay, so the name of my blog is La Petit Muse. I probably told the story behind the name a few times and this is going to be the last time that I tell it, so listen up real good.

I discovered WordPress at a time when I wanted to talk about football… wait, wrong story. Right. So, when I first signed up for this account, I wanted the word ‘muse’ in it (to reflect my writing) and I also wanted the name to sound somewhat Frenchy (to reflect my love of the French language). I came up with La Petite Muse because it’s proper French and it’s feminine, but nooooo, WordPress told me that it was already taken. I have no idea what or who La Petite Muse is for I’ve tried searching for it and nothing. 

You lied to me, WordPress! How could you? I had to butcher the French language in order to come up with La Petit Muse. Now, here is where French comes in handy when talking about the blog title no matter how much I butchered the people’s language (as I do the English one at times all in the name of creativity). So, the word ‘petit’ can also mean simple, petty or insignificant where it concerns the law, so I like to translate my title as The Insignificant Muse or even The Petty Muse. 😜

French people will disagree…

…but what’s done is done. Sorry, Frenchies. 😢

I should check and see if La Petite Muse is available now, but I’m already accustomed to Petit. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I got my blog name.

This is where I take some time off

Hey, it’s that time already. March is here. 😃

I don’t know about you, but February went by slowly. March is here now and I look forward to what this month may bring… besides the books I’m planning to read of course! This is also the month in which I’ll be seeing less of WordPress, although I’ve started to distance myself from blogging late last month. I’m also slow in visiting blogs I follow. But fear not! I’ve scheduled enough posts and I’ll be popping in twice a week or so to catch up with blogs.

Well, at the moment, I can’t really say, but I’ll be continuing the Bible study series from next Sabbath God’s willing. Maybe I’ll share some of the stories I’m currently working on just for the fun of it. I also have some tags that I want to complete this month, so might as well do that along with some book reviews. Also, I aim to complete those long overdue social media articles! I dislike it when I start something and never finish it. 😆

How long is this ‘break’ going to continue for? I don’t know, but I’ll be around.

Somehow, this month’s challenge ties into my current blogging situation.
