From this chapter, I learned that:

^ Fermented beans can be pounded into a paste from which the soy sauce is made. In Japan, they use the paste to make miso while natto is made from whole beans.

^ Soybeans consist of 20 percent oil and 40 percent protein. It is the second most widely grown crop in America.

Would I eat it?: I don’t like beans much.

    1. I can’t remember when I last ate beans and I think I tried soy milk once and didn’t like it. Memory is kind of hazy at the moment.
