It’s time to NaNo!

NaNoWriMo calls again!

Excitement kicked in last minute for NaNoWriMo! I chose Dangerous Obsession as my story of choice and I am diving in without direction. This is the beauty of free writing! I am ready to take on this 50,000-word challenge… although it still fazes me that today is actually November 01st.

The goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days. The peeps over at NaNoWriMo set today’s goal at 2,000 words. I won’t be able to achieve that amount today, but the most important thing is to start. I wrote the Prologue during my lunch hour at work and I intend to write a little bit more tonight before Riverdale

This year, I’ll be doing things differently for what can be my last participation in NaNoWriMo. For the past two years, while I did this fantastic writing challenge, I posted an encouragement quote daily until the last day, but I won’t be doing that this time around. I want to focus strictly on my writing, but I’ll be writing about my progression from time to time. I also thought of a few funny titles that I might blog about during NaNo:

^ Don’t tell me how to write!

^ Outline? What outline?

^ Protagonist v Antagonist

I also want to talk about character development so I might spend some time this month discussing characters. Now, time to spend some time actually writing before I catch some Zzzz’s.

All the best to all those who are participating in NaNoWriMo.

30 Day Writing Challenge: Day 1

Basic things about yourself

I like to think that by now, you guys know me, but I’ll list 5 things about myself:

^ I love God. ❤

^ Writing is part of my heart

^ I enjoy watching football and I support teams such as the French national team, FC Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, and Paris Saint-Germain.

^ I once swallowed a fly.

^ I am sort of shy/awkward when it comes to accepting compliments.

Share Your World – October 30th, 2017

Cee’s Share Your World Challenge continues this week so let’s do this!

Where do you eat breakfast?

With my family or at my work computer while listening to spiritual songs or a sermon.

Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want to have an evening with?

I would say Jesus Christ, but He is not of this world, so James Patterson. We’ll talk about how he finds all the time in the world – ghostwriters aside – to come up with all of those ideas and why he lends his name to such atrocious novels sometimes. I know his writing style and although most of the books I’ve read with him as co-author, they ain’t his work.

If you could be a tree or plant, what would you be?

A poui tree! They’re so beautiful when they bloom!

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Simply nature. Spending time with God in nature is good for the soul! ❤

Novel November!

I’m sitting here reflecting on October and I am thankful to God that I got to live it. Most of the things that I set out to do was accomplished (except that wine and food pairing display that I was supposed to do eons ago for the library). All in all, it was a spectacular month!

Hello, November!

Even though it’s happening in small doses, lots of changes are coming to La Petit Muse… although I am thinking of opening a new blog. I used to have five blogs, now I am down to two, but for the past few weeks, I’ve been thinking of opening another one where I can dump world news events etc. But for now, I think this one works fine.

It’s National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), so depending on how things go, November might be my busiest month yet, but I’ll embrace it as it comes.

this is my new favorite GIF; it has EVERYTHING that I like in it: twins, scarf, nice hair, smiles, that black & white striped tee, the goofiness, smiles… 🙂

As I said yesterday, I’ll like to introduce a few new series in a timing, and although I’m going to putting in a lot of writing this month, I’ll be doing two challenges that I’ve chosen since last month:

November 2016 Journal Prompts - Gratitude and Joy. New prompts released the beginning of each month >> Eight Pepperberries blog

30 Day Blog Writing Challenge - National Blog Post Month!

I know they’re old and one is a journal prompt, but I think of my blog as a journal and challenges never go out of style. Hmmm.. I think I’ll use the journal prompt as a reflection for the end of the month.

I am happy to be where I am at the moment and I give all my blessings to God. ❤

Blessed November to everyone, thank God that you have breath, and remember to…

June plans! – La Petit Muse:

365 Days of Writing

November 01st: Eat, drink and be merry…

…for tomorrow we die. The world is ending tomorrow! Tell us about your last dinner — the food, your dining companions, the setting, the conversation.

But the Bible didn’t say the world is ending tomorrow. 😛

Anyway, I’ll have all my favorite foods: macaroni pie, curry, popcorn for a snack, and tiramisu for dessert. My dining companions will be my close friends and family and we’ll be reminiscing about the good times.
