How to fast and what to fast for?

Know what to fast for.

How to Fast?

Before you fast, you should consult a doctor first if you have any health conditions.

* Pray about the type of fast that you should undertake. The Holy Spirit may call you to do a specific fast.

* Choose a fasting plan that works best for you.

* During the fast, pray for your church leaders, family, friends, the world etc.

* Focus on drawing closer to God. Instead of watching TV, open your Bible and read scriptures. Instead of cheering on your favorite football team, pray.

* Make it your priority to attend church during your fast.

* Make it a spiritual practice.

What to fast for?

There are different types of fast. You can fast from food, entertainment, and social media among other things. You can also fast for a financial breakthrough. But as mentioned above, seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance in prayer before you fast.

Inspiration & Words

Thankful Thursday: World Gratitude Day!

Be grateful for every new dawn.

It’s easy to focus on the things that we don’t have and complain about it, instead of being thankful and content with the things that we do have.

I know I always say this, but I am thankful for life; that I am breathing because I did not have to wake up this morning. I am grateful for life’s little moments because with everything going on in the world right now, life is fleeting. I am grateful for my family, my friends, and my co-workers. I am eternally grateful for our Savior. My sister just brought me a small token and I am very grateful for it. ❤

Gratitude improves our lives and that’s why we should be grateful for every living moment. For me, every day is World Gratitude Day!

Although I am grateful to all the teachers who have taught me during my school years, there is always that one teacher that has the most impact on me because he was everything that I listed above and more. He was always prepared, always on time, had a great sense of humor, and he was patient when it comes to explaining material that we sometimes didn’t understand the first time around. He’ll always be my all-time favorite teacher! 🙂
