Prayer and Fast Week ๐Ÿ™

Praying and fasting is a necessity for all Christians.

The combination ofย prayer and fasting can help transform your life through the Holy Spirit. Some people might see fasting as burdensome, but I assure you that it is not. The goal of fasting is to draw nearer to our Father. It also cleanses our souls and keep us away from distractions.ย

This week, I want to focus on prayer and fasting, as I prepare to fast for this upcoming weekend.ย

Here’s what toย hopefully expect this week concerning the topics:

^ Prayer and Fasting, an introduction

^ Why must we pray? (and verses relating to fasting)

^ How to fast andย what to fastย for?

^ A Reblog from The Way Online

^ The benefits of fasting

  1. I love The Way blog, she posts so many insightful posts. I think this is a great idea. Just this past weekend, I thought about fasting. It’s the one part of my life I’ve never really did much of. When I was a teen I fasted from music and video games for a week (two things that I spent hours on daily), though our youth pastor who encouraged us didn’t fast with us. (It was me and another teen who volunteered, I plan to write about this experience at some point.)
I will say God used that week to really reach out and teach me some things. I don’t know if people only support the idea of fasting food, but I know God used that form of fasting to reach out to me. I would love to read more ๐Ÿ™‚
