Word of the Week: Kalopsia

It was love at first sight with this attractive Greek-looking word. *sigh*

Kalopsia is a combination of the Greek roots kallos (beauty) and opsis (sight), so technically in English, it means beautiful sight. Even the word is beautiful. Let me take a moment to reflect on the beauty of this word.

I love coming across strange words! They intrigue me and I sometimes add them to my vocabulary. So here is my attempt at using this beautiful word in a sentence:

She was obviously suffering from kalopsia for she saw the world in him although he treated her harshly.
