Is there a painting or sculpture you’re drawn to? What does it say to you? Describe the experience. (Or, if art doesn’t speak to you, tell us why.)
I love paintings, but they don’t speak to me. I don’t have that special language down pat. However, I am drawn to Charles Auguste Émile Durand’s L’Homme endormi or Man Asleep or The Sleeping Man. I’ve now used this masterpiece as an inspiration for one of my short stories.
You’re going on a cross-country trip. Airplane, train, bus, or car? (Or something else entirely — bike? Hot air balloon?)
I’ve always wanted to go up in a hot air balloon! Now, this would be the trip of a lifetime!
Do you belong in this day and age? Do you feel comfortable being a citizen of the 21st-century? If you do, explain why — and if you don’t, when in human history would you rather be?
Although I do consider myself an old soul and I’d rather be stuck in Ancient Egypt, or when Jesus Christ first walked the earth, I am content in this century because this is where God wants me to be.
Where do your morals come from — your family? Your faith? Your philosophical worldview? How do you deal with those who don’t share them, or derive them from a different source?
My morals come from my faith. I don’t force my views on people who don’t share them, but I am open to listening to their views and sharing mine.

I love Fridays! It’s my favorite day of the week because when the sun sets it’s time to keep the Sabbath holy:
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. (Exodus 20:8)
Hello, wonderful readers! I’ve been dreading this, but I need to take a break from blogging. I am battling with anemia and lately, I’ve been really exhausted and although I am trying to troop on, I’m currently like…
This morning, I was listening to ‘My Little Universe’ by Depeche Mode:
My little universe is expanding… slowly
Those who know me say I’m growing every day
Beautiful emptiness surrounds me
I take small steps
I’m making progress in an unspecific way
Here I am king
I decide everything
I let no one in
And I was like, ‘Yes! That is exactly what I need. I need to be in my own universe for a while’, so I’ve decided to announce a hiatus.
I would not be blogging or engaging in social media from Saturday to Monday God’s willing. I plan to come back on Tuesday and catch up with all the blogs. I may schedule a few posts for the time that I’ll be offline. So, I’m going to take my jacket off…
…and just relax for those few days. I’m going to miss you guys, but I must do this.
Take care, stay safe, walk with God and have a great weekend.
It’s been a while since I’ve done Cee’s Share Your World Challenge! I’ll do the latest one now.
What is something that people are obsessed with but you just don’t get the point of?
Hating. People think that it’s cool to hate someone or something for no apparent reason because the media or their friend or their neighbor say it’s okay to hate.
What quirky things do people do where you are from?
Where I live, the people are pretty normal.
What are some things you wish you could unlearn?
Who is someone that you miss having in your life?
No one. I contend with the people in my life.
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
My sister in Christ and partner in writing spent the day with me at work last Friday and I couldn’t ask for more. We have a slow period so having her presence here was a blessing. As for next week, God, surprise me. 🙂
