Do you need to agree with an artist’s lifestyle or politics to appreciate their art? To spend money on it?

I can look pass an artist’s lifestyle or politics to appreciate their art once its good.

This is an interesting question. I am comfortable with people’s lifestyles and political beliefs, except when they start spreading hate because of them. If an artist were to spread hate in the name of their beliefs, I don’t think I could support them by buying their art. Sure I could appreciate the art, but I couldn’t make myself feel okay about buying their work.
