April 16th: History of language

Write a piece of fiction describing the incident that gave rise to the phrase, โ€œthird timeโ€™s the charm.โ€

I’m not in a writing mood, but let’s see if I can come up with a few words at least:

The first one lacketh class
The second one had a heart of glass
But the third one had the right
amount of sass
And she knew she’d found her Mr. Right.
