Most of us have heard the saying, “That’s the best thing since sliced bread!” What do you think is actually the best thing since sliced bread?

Hmmm… what was the best thing before sliced bread? Anyway, the sliced bread machine was invented in 1928. Since then we’ve had many wonderful things, but the internet remains supreme.

Distraction comes in all forms and packages and we tend to blame the devil (Well, we need someone to blame other than our very own self don’t we?). 

I have trouble with self-control. I seem to stray every time I set out to do something meaningful. I end up procrastinating and when the sun sets to signal the end of the day, I tend to get mad at myself. I am like a programmed tape recorder at times.

Get up. Procrastinate. Repeat.

Although in my defense, they’re educational distractions. Yes, believe it or not. Before, I used to be easily seduced by Amazon and when the day came to a close, I won’t have writing to show, but books and clothes to order. Now, I easily get distracted by the French sites. I’ll visit YouTube to look up two or three French videos, end up looking up 10…
