“I’ll take whatever you can give.”

Short Story #8

He envisioned long nights and early mornings with her. He wanted to smile with her, share his breakfast with her, and go on cheap dates with her. But she was broken and scarred and seeing her bare her soul took courage, something she was not given enough credit for.

But he was willing to try. He was willing to show her that he was not like the other men in her former life. He was willing to risk his happiness for hers.

He smiled, a small tug at his heart that was like a sweet pain. “I’ll take whatever you can give.” He kissed the jagged scar on her shoulder blade. “And when you’re ready, you can give me more.”

Jovial January!

Sunday 01st, January 2017.

 :

Well, guys, we made it through 2016. The ups, the downs, the joys, the pain and the setbacks. 2016 flew by like a blur for me, but I am incredibly grateful to the new friends I’ve made both in my personal life and here in the blogosphere. Life is a journey and I am still learning as I continue on the path towards wherever God is leading me.

This month, I look forward to writing the posts I wanted to do for December. I am also in the process of editing a few stories that I may share here eventually. However, I am not promising anything for every time I do, something keeps coming up and I end up posting little.

Blessed January to all and remember to…
