It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these.
Because it’s National Coffee Day! 🙂
My future with you is secure.

Hmmm… coffee. The drink of the writers.
Well, not every writer.
Today is National Coffee Day so here’s a few fun facts about my favorite brew:
^ The word “coffee” comes from the Arabic word for “wine for the bean”.
^ History tells us that Kaldi, an Ethiopian goat herder discovered coffee. History also tells us that this is a myth.
^ Coffee arrived in Venice, Italy in 1570. It was mostly sold to the wealthy.
^ It can help prevent diabetes, reduce the risk of Parkinson’s Disease, lowers the risk of liver cancer, and lowers the risk of heart failure. Coffee has also been found to reverse liver damage caused by alcohol. As for me, whenever I have a serious headache or an upset stomach, I drink black coffee. Works like a charm. By the way, I am immune to coffee. It doesn’t keep me up or make me go crazy.
^ Coffee is the world’s second most valuable traded commodity after petroleum.
^ Brazil has been the largest producer of coffee for the last 150 years.
^ This was my favorite fun stat:
^ And this one: There’s a coffee shop in France where not saying “hello” and “please” makes your coffee more expensive. And they say the French are rude! This coffee shop is none other than La Petite Syrah.
Un cafe, s’il vous plaît?
How do you enjoy/take your coffee?

There’s beauty in the world, there’s beauty in life — the good and the bad. Writing about these things isn’t trash. That’s not honoring your beliefs. It would feel like a dishonor to shun everything about life that makes us human beings. Don’t think your words are less important because they aren’t necessarily about a higher power. Life, feeling, and just being are worth exploring.

With NaNoWriMo right around the corner, La Petit Muse will be back in action soon to journey along with the participating writers. It seems like just yesterday we’ve just participated!
We’ll go over grammar skills, vocabulary, punctuation, and spelling (mostly after NaNo given that we’re going to be writing and not editing as we go along). We’ll also look at stories and characters.
Concerning the weekly themes such as Short Story Sunday, Photo Challenge Wednesday and Thankful Thursday, I’ll try to fill them in the near future. Journal posts were suggested to me and although I am not ready (and may never be!) to reveal who I am, I may work on this suggestion. It’s not something I am big on so I may do two-three journal entries a month. I am not a selfie-taking person so don’t expect any pictures! 😃
So, sit back, relax, and get ready to write.
Don’t think it
Just do it
Go with faith
Trust in God
And just
Deep and insightful. Live like you’re somebody.
The Raw, Refreshing Writings of Roderick Wills
She said, “I feel like a nobody.”
The master replied: “You are what you feel.”
She said, “But, I don’t want to be a nobody!”
The master replied: “You start and end with no body.”
She said, “Whatever do you mean?”
The master replied: “You have been and will be again the oak tree in the garden and the vine choking it. You have been and will be again the nutrients in the earth and the sunlight that feeds the tree. You have been and will be again every child and every plant. You have been and will be again a hydrogen molecule in a star millions of light-years away. You have been and will be again no body and yet… everybody.”
She said, “Just how is that supposed to make me feel better?”
The master replied: “You started with no body and will end with no body. So live like you’re somebody…
