The “Awesome Quote Challenge”: Day 1

I collect quotes so it’s nice to be doing this challenge. As writers, we always have a quote ready to use for many situations.

I’ve been nominated to do the Awesome Quote Challenge by the wonderful Carola. Thank you for the nomination girl!

Today is my first day and these are the rules:

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.

2. For 3 consecutive days, you have to post a quote.

3. Nominate 3 different bloggers each day.

Today’s quote:

I live by this word. Giving does not mean gifting people expensive or material things. We can give people our time and give back to the community. Smile and compliment someone instead of bringing them down. Volunteer at a charity or a local shelter. Make a donation, express your love, hug someone.

Giving is never a burden.

Today I nominate:

*** Honest minute: I don’t want to disturb anyone’s blog. If you don’t want to do it, then it’s no pressure at all.

Someone who’s made a big impact on me recently

DAY 20

TWO JULYS BACK:

That person would have to be my new supervisor.

Judy is her name and she has this no-nonsense way about her in getting things done. Some have misinterpreted that attitude for aggressiveness, but she is very passionate about her job.

She is also a budding writer and she often asks after my own writing. She shares her poetry and I think she is great at it. I am no good at poetry! But she encourages me to write and I’ve never met someone as passionate as me about writing before and I like that a lot.

She is planning on publishing one day and I wish her the best because her work is going to be great

NOW:

People often come and go in my life, but God forever remains. He often sends people into my life for a reason and for this I am utterly grateful.

I must say that I’ve been blessed with a few friends I can share similarities with, two sisters I can count on, parents I can fall back on, and bloggers who I can count on for inspiration.
