Powerful and captivating!
She stood in her bended form
Her tired body folded in wrinkles
Her tattoos of ages faded
Her strength of little resistance
Famished
Lonely and teary

Uptown funk you up, uptown FUNK YOU UP! This song was released in 2014, but it rolled over into 2015 and I still hear it from time to time on the radio. HUGE hit for Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars and probably the best song in the last three years.
I tried a thing: original and edit. π
Michael Jackson’s ‘Dirty Diana’. Up to this day, it still makes great banter for short stories of mine.
There isn’t one.
I don’t play any instruments although at one point in my life I’ve always wanted to play the piano and the violin. If I could play any song on an instrument, though, it’ll be The Verve’s ‘Bittersweet Symphony’. This song is nothing but the truth about life!
Quick fact: The strings were sampled from the 1965 Andrew Oldham Orchestra symphonic recording of “The Last Time” which was inspired by the 1965 Rolling Stones’ song of the same title, but for me, ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ will always belong to The Verve.
‘Cause it’s a bittersweet symphony, this life
Try to make ends meet
You’re a slave to money then you die
I’ll take you down the only road I’ve ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the places
where all the veins meet yeah,
Her heart was breaking
And he could hear the pieces falling to the floor
Bit by bit,
Shattering into a million smithereens
That if anyone were to pick them up,
Theyβd never be able to reassemble them
Into what it once was
So he did nothing, but
Listen to her heart break.

Ah, that happy infectious soundtrack fromΒ DilwaleΒ finds its way on my list again. None other than ‘Tukur Tukur’.
God’s love is the single greatest thing that can happen to ANYONE.
His Love He Will Show
β
Listen to the quiet stillness of peace;
Let your mind be renewed with His word.
Let the commotion of the world cease,
Listen to the sweetest promise ever heard.
β
It is easy to get caught up in the noise;
Soon itβs as if youβre just spinning around.
Struggling hard to resist the Devilβs ploys,
It feels as if we keep getting knocked down.
β
The times you are found tired and weak,
Be calm and know that the Lord is with you.
When a godly man comes, let him speak;
If he is in Godβs love, then his words are true.
β
Listen dear child to the words I say;
The Lord is in control do not fret or worry.
Fear nothing for the Lord is in this day;
You need not be troubled or be in a hurry.
