Challenge: And Then There Were None
I’m quite comfortable in bed with Tom Cruise in Ghost Protocol (that blue suit is LIFE!) but then shoot! I can’t believe I forgot to post today’s challenge! I have no idea what I’m going to write though. I’ll just sit in front of the laptop until something pops up.
… five minutes later: I’ve never read anything by Agatha Christie. Isn’t she the author who had a French detective by the name of Hercule Poirot who wrongly went around going ‘Sacré bleu!’ Or was he from Belgium? Either way, ‘sacré bleu’ is outdated.
… ten minutes later… Tom Cruise is scaling the world’s tallest building and I’m yelling (like every time he does it) ‘THAT’S MA MAN!!’ Man is still the coolest cat around.
…
…
I think I got something!
He was running, running away from pain, misery and a death. He remembered the look in his father’s shocked blue eyes when the policemen came to arrest him based on little evidence. And then there were none. No more memories for him to dig into. He slowly sat up in the small bed and touched his roughly but carefully bandaged head. His savior was probably in the kitchen cooking him a nice warm meal, something he felt he didn’t deserve for collapsing into her life and turning it upside-down. He couldn’t recall his name, the memories still fuzzy, but she called him Blue Eyes.
