Challenge: The Shadow of the Wind
I’ve come to realized that I haven’t read if not all, the majority of the books on this May Challenge list. This is another I’ve not read as well. Here we go…
Annalise was preparing a hot meal for the uninvited guest when something ghosted past her window. She shivered in terror wondering who it could be out there in the harsh snowy weather trying to peek into her home. Was it the wind playing tricks on her? A shadow-like movement caught her attention at the stove and before she could think twice, she pulled the curtain only to be greeted by tree branches playfully slapping against each other in the wind. She held her heart and let out a relieved sigh. Her secret was still saved.
