Quick NaNoWriMo update!

My opening week didn’t go as planned hence the reason why I don’t do the math and use any type of goal count.

The first 4 days:

Day 1 – 560 words

Day 2 – 143 words

Day 3 – 0 words

Day 4 – 312 words

Day 5 – 0 words

That gives me a total of 1,015 words.

Today is the sixth day, but I don’t know if I’ll get any writing done.

On the upside, I have my synopsis downpat and I am ready to put in some heavy writing this weekend therefore I won’t be on, but I have a few posts scheduled. Have a caffeinated weekend and don’t ever think about giving up on your writing simply because you don’t have 10,000 words as yet or your friend is almost at the 30,000 word mark and you feel like a failure. Stay on course and focus.

In the meantime, this gone be me when closing time reach today at work:

Creating the La Petit Muse signature banner

I’ve always wanted to create a signature banner for the blog and although I don’t have a proper theme in mind right now, I wanted inspiring words and I came up with this:

This is the signature that I’ll be using at the end of inspiring posts until I can come up with something … dare I say better? I used my ultimate favorite editor, Pixlr, to create this signature. I used their inspiration sticker (Dream. Believe. Do. Repeat), but the pencil is a free clipart that I had to download and then add to the white background I started off with.

I chose the colors, orange and green because of the current theme of La Petit Muse.

I also made this one while playing around …

… but in the end I decided the colors didn’t coordinate.
